A traditional sauce from Basque cuisine made from a single ingredient: cod. The fish is gently cooked in low-temperature olive oil, allowing it to become tender. During cooking, the cod skin releases a natural gelatin that emulsifies with the oil to create the iconic Pil Pil sauce, typically served with toasted bread slices.

What makes Giraldo cod so special?
Line-caught in the pristine waters of Iceland and the Faroe Islands and processed directly onboard, Giraldo’s desalted cod is aged for months under controlled temperatures using only salt, then cut into uniform pieces to ensure even desalting and consistent flavor. It is desalted exclusively to order, using only ice-cold water — which is why it’s known as the cod of the masters!

Instructions for use: partially open the package and heat in the microwave for 1 minute at 700 W.
Storage instructions: store in a cool, dry place. Once opened, keep refrigerated and consume within 48 hours.
