Blazquez Iberian Ham Holder

The Blázquez brand jamonera for slicing jamón is used by Spanish cortadors - true masters of the art of cutting jamón - to serve the famous Iberian ham.

The device has its roots in Spain and traditionally features a simple, sturdy wooden base to which a metal pin and clamp are attached. The thinner end of the pork leg is fixed in an elevated position, while the base rests on the wood, held in place by the metal pin.

Once placed on the stand, the ham is normally stored in this way at room temperature, often simply covered with a cloth to prevent excessive drying.
