Les Fermiers Landais is the company that first carried out "Label Rouge" semi-wild chicken breeding in France. A point of reference in the poultry sector in France, with a cooperative selection center of the best chicken allowing perfect control of the raw material and complete traceability of the supply chain.
The breeding of Label Rouge chickens
In the middle of the forest, free-range yellow chickens are raised for a minimum of 81 days in specially designed shelters. Their diet is 100 % plant-based, based on locally produced grains from farmers, soybeans and alfalfa. This diet rich in vitamins, calcium and magnesium, combined with the chickens' lifestyle, makes the meat especially tasty and tender. Space, clean air, natural diet: poultry benefit from optimal growing conditions, giving them unique characteristics and flavor. All poultry are free-range in the Gascogne Reserve and come from local farmers.
The unique taste
Label Rouge poultry develop many flavor advantages related to high standards and strict production specifications. These chickens boast a finer flesh that, when cooked, results in a crispy and digestible skin. The wide natural areas in which the poultry roam allow for excellent muscle development and thus juicy flesh. The balanced diet gives tender and flavorful meat, a chicken with a refined and authentic taste.
